Medical Equipment Maintenance Information System (MEIMIS) training

As part of its efforts to build capacity of health personnel in the application of digital tools, HPSS Project supported the Ministry of Health to conduct training  on  MEIMIS. Strengthening the management of medical infrastructure and equipment including the timely maintenance, repair and renovation is critical to improve health care delivery and make best use of investments.

Government of Tanzania rolls out CHF Iliyoboreshwa e-payment system nationwide

Continuing efforts to strengthen CHF Iliyoboreshwa, simplify the payment of membership contributions, reduce costs associated with collection of the scheme’s revenue and improve management of the fund, the Government is rolling out CHF e-payment system national wide.

Market uptake of pharmaceutical staff - Operational research

HPSS is conducting a study on the market uptake of pharmacy dispensers- a cadre of basic pharmaceutical staff in Tanzania, promoted to support medicine management in primary health facilities, approved by the National Accreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE). Data collectors are in the field for informant interviews.

Contact Centre for customer care to promote and support CHF Iliyoboreshwa

CHF Iliyoboreshwa, operated by the Government of Tanzania through the President’s Office - Regional Administration and Local Government (PORALG) is a nonprofit health insurance scheme aimed at protecting citizens against health care costs in all 26 regions across mainland Tanzania.

Public health workers challenged to improve health promotion in their communities

More than 50 National and Regional Community and School Health Promotion Coordinators from all over Tanzania mainland participated in the five-day training for health promotion sponsored by HPSS Project. They were challenged to translate the acquired knowledge and skills.

Government of Tanzania’s Health System Strengthening Resource Centre restocked with ICT equipment

HPSS Tuimarishe Afya Project has  provided ICT equipment to the Health System Strengthening Resource Centre based at the President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PORALG) in Dodoma.

HPSS contributes to review of National Action Plan on AMR

HPSS project participated in a workshop in Dar es Salaam by Ministry of Health, organized by the Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) and Management Sciences for Health (MSH) to review the implementation of the 2017 National Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance and its monitoring framework with a focus on Antimicrobial Stewardship.

HPSS Project and University of Dodoma join hands for health promotion approaches in community and schools

In its quest to complement government’s efforts to improve the health of its population, HPSS Project in partnership with the University of Dodoma (UDOM) organized a five-day health promotion training aimed at building the capacity of Health Promotion Coordinators from across the country.
