Government of Tanzania’s (GoT) Health System Strengthening Resource Centre restocked with modern ICT equipment

HPSS Tuimarishe Afya Project has today provided Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) equipment to the Health System Strengthening Resource Centre based at the President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PORALG) in the capital, Dodoma.

Swiss TPH/HPSS Project donates  IT Equipment to Mvumi Institute of Health Sciences

Swiss TPH/HPSS Project, handed over assorted IT equipment worth TZS 37.7 Million to Mvumi Institute of Health Sciences in Dodoma.The equipment which included desktop computers, laptops, projector and projector screen, is expected to improve the delivery of a Biomedical Engineering course.

Research Advisory Committee meeting

HPSS Project held the first hybrid RAC meeting in Dodoma. Concept notes for health financing and medicines management were reviewed and endorsed.Mr Tumainieli Macha from MoHCDEC was appointed chairperson and Dr Ntuli Kapologwe from PORALG co-chaired the first RAC meeting.

TAPSA Annual Scientific Conference

HPSS sponsored the annual conference of the Tanzania Pharmaceutical Students Association (TAPSA), officiated by the Minister of Health, Dr Dorothy Gwajima. HPSS presented two papers with results related to 1) rational medicine use and 2) the impact of dispensers on supply chain management.
